Vision:

The Indiana County Commission for Women is an advocate for economic stability, education and human rights legislation to create a more equitable Indiana County community.

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Indiana County Commission for Women is to guarantee that women citizens of Indiana County have equal opportunities to serve in every capacity and participate in all facets of life.

Goals and Objectives:

To evaluate issues and concerns of women & families in Indiana County and inform and make recommendations to the County Commissioners as to how to meet those concerns and needs.

Serve as a liaison between government and nongovernmental groups and organizations whose purpose relate to the interest of women.

Encourage the development of and access to funding for small business enterprises owned or operated by women.

Promote job training, educational programs and provide women with the leadership, negotiation and professional skills necessary to reach their full potential.

Aid in the personal and professional development of women while raising awareness of issues affecting working women.

Exchange ideas, explore business opportunities and share common goals with professional women at the community, state and national level.
